This story has been marked for mature audiences only. ////-\\\\ A close encounter with death kept Genji Shimada up at night; the feelings of betrayal and anger made him long for the day he'd be met face-to-face with his brother again. He had never felt the need for friends, and his only wish was to rid the world of those who seek to end it. Carson "Phoenix" Jedson, Overwatch's newest recruit, would soon change everything. He would create a small spark that would ignite the fire inside of Genji, burning brighter with the fuel of revenge. Having found a friend and someone who he now wished only to protect, Genji would be forced to feed the flames until they burned stronger than ever before; stronger than even a Phoenix. Through a bond of friendship and a new spark of love, together they would try to purge those who betray, and those who do no-good, in the hopes of a better tomorrow.
