Bobby's sister had always loved magic, may it be books, novels or series and she loves Bobby too. They also knew they had a history of being assumed as having a witch in the family but it was never a good thing in the Philippines so her parents became devoted Christians- that makes things harder for her as someone who was interested in fictional magic and tattoos. Luckily her sister helped her escape her parents and helped her come out of her shell.
