Chapter One

He grabbed my arm and drew me to him. I was forced to stare into his eyes.

My throat and senses were dry, and I suddenly never knew the next words.

'What do you know about me, my scarf lady? I am sure there's more to find out under this brown scarf.'

'Scarf lady?'

I stared into his brown eyes confidently.

'I am yet to find out.' I whispered but underneath my cover, I trembled.

All Matilda knew was her father's barn, the chickens and sheep she cares for.

But life has its plans.

Tossed into a different world outside her own, she had no choice but to face her fears.
