Throughout Mia Whitlock's life so far she had burned more bridges than she had crossed. Truth is, she often she put her needs first and expected to get her way. And the only person she had ever cared about was her grandfather, who had raised her. So when he passes away unexpectedly it is the start of her world crumbling. Especially when she learns about the stipulation in his will. That she must get get her life together and find love. And not only that but....also get married for a whole year before she can receive the fortune. So now that she is being forced to have to look after herself for the first time in her very pampered life, Mia desperately tries to think of anyone she can marry. Well temporarily that is. Then she remembers a handsome lawyer, Noah Black, that she met not too long ago who in a drunken stupor had made a horrible mistake. He had shared with her a terrible secret. One that Mia knew she could exploit. So knowing she could use this to her benefit and get the marriage underway she thinks all she will have to do is wait out the year to get her money. But Mia never counted on falling for Noah. Or having to deal with the consequences of his secret.
