Chapter One

At the start of the summer courting season, before the first ball has even begun, Corina Fairisle-Daphry doesn't expect to have to flee the royal palace in the middle of the night to escape an arranged marriage. She doesn't expect to cross paths with Obryas Ravenscroft either, infamous prince and second in line to the throne of a powerful far-off kingdom. But perhaps all things happen for a reason, and maybe Corina's chance encounter with the prince might hold the key to her carving out the future that she wants. It's just unfortunate that Corina holds a secret, and when the prince finds out he's going to make her life hell.
