Description
The Broken Heart of a Dragon, this short story follows a Dragon and a young toddler he finds in the woods. The Dragon is mourning the death of his own wife and child and finds the toddler to be an irritating nuisance in many aspects while fighting his own instincts due to the painful reminder the toddler randomly gives him, of his own child. He quickly comes to the conclusion that he needs to help this child find its family, if for nothing else, than to rid himself of the child's presence. After fleeing from a village and an unexpected bonding experience of a journey, the Dragon gives in and allows the child to lead him to where the child believes his family is. After a long and confusing journey, the Dragon and the child arrive to the child's family... only its the graves of the Dragons Wife and Child. Was it a trap? Is it a lie? The Child was to lead him to be poached as his family was? Did human cruelty know no bounds? Read and find out.
