The big mega-corporations, Umbrella and WCKD, have taken over the world, or what's left of it.
Vast solar flares have scorched the Earth, plunging humanity into the chaos of extinction, while a deadly virus spreads its tentacles through areas that have not been scorched.
All traces of values, morals and ethics have vanished as fast as the Sun burned the Earth, and a new era of super humans is emerging from the experiments of these corporations. They had everything under control... or at least that was what they thought.
