"Alekses, why are you doing this," Xhenia cried as she pulled on her chain. Why is she acting as if I'm not here?

Alekses ignored her and continued working.

"Answer me, Alekses!"

Alekses once again ignored her.

"Alekses, please answer me."

With a sigh, Alekses pushed away from her desk and directed her view to the chained mouse. "What is it, Whiskers?"

"I'm not a pet," Xhenia shouted.

Alekses raised her eyebrows at Xhenia and began clearing the middle of her desk.

When she was done, Alekses stood and walked over to her mouse. She looked down at her before she crouched and gripped her chin.

"You're right. You're not just a pet. You're my pet."
