Prologue

They were the most unexpected of friends. One, a half-blood boy orphaned by the greatest dark wizard of the age, alone in the world, raised by nasty muggles and completely unaware of magic. The other, a pure-blood raised to look down upon everyone, so ingrained by hatred that he wears a permanent glare in his eyes, so surrounded by magic that he performed his first spell when he was a mere five years old. To the world, they were sworn enemies, against each other from the very beginning. The war progresses, worsening every day, and they each must face their own nightmares.
