Charlotte Magne doesn't have the best relationship with her father. Lucifer thought that her daughter was a disappointment, due to her being the opposite of what a demon was supposed to be. During her childhood he made that very clear, always trying to change her beliefs and personality. It would have worked eventually, if not for a certain friend to pick her back up whenever she fell.
