The Reaping

At the reaping for the 69th hunger games, Hebe Cross volunteers, intent on saving her mother from poverty and bringing pride to her district. But when she reaches the Capitol she had idolised for most of her life, the illusion is shattered, and all she is left with is the trauma of the games. Luckily for Hebe, her mentor, Finnick Odair, is there to pick up the pieces. But as she tries to return to normalcy, she realises that maybe things aren't as bleak as they seem.
