Love transcends mere words. Being there for someone else, loving them, and never giving up on them is love.

She had never experienced love before she met him. Love seemed to be a myth. A beautifully twisted myth that was concocted to get people to fall in love with each other before things went south. After seeing her parents, she never thought in love.
She was sufficiently traumatised by the late-night arguments, the yelling followed by silence, and the game of ignoring one another for days that she was determined never to make the same mistakes as her parents.
But Cupid appeared to be particularly drawn to her.
Because she quickly discovered herself in a circumstance she had never anticipated.
