Author's Note

Taking place before Kokichi's trial, the mastermind reveals himself to everyone confident that no one will ever vote for him because of the relationships he's built. After having completely destroyed everyone's trust in trial 4, Kokichi must work to get along with everyone before it's far too late.
He finds a friend in the most unlikely of people and works towards success, even if it means sacrificing himself.
