Chapter (1)

An assassin was killed, unable to grasp why she was still breathing. She'd been sent as a personal maid to the second prince, who always seemed to be in danger. All she knew about him was that he was a cruel ruler who killed anyone who opposed him. Still, she decided to treat him well until she could escape. But instead of pushing her away, her kindness made him cling to her. And then she realized, "Wait, this wasn't supposed to happen."
