New Captain's First Day

Tessa Cole is struggling, desperate to stay afloat.

She lives in a hole in the wall apartment where her landlord is constantly putting the rent up. Her mother is long dead, and her father is a deadbeat who terrifies her.

The only thing going in her favour is her job as a detective with the 99, even if they make her uncomfortable sometimes by coddling her too much.

What can she do? She is the youngest.
