Chapter One

Star is a 13 year old American girl living in an orphanage. She's the oldest in the orphanage and sees many young children come and go. She has lost hope in ever being adopted. When she's suddenly called to the Mistresses office, she fears they will send her to a new orphanage but oh how wrong she is! Can this poor girl find happiness at last or will everything crumble to pieces once again?
