Chapter One: The Emersons Arrive

Having moved to Santa Carla as a child, Azrael Emerson was raised to be a vampire hunter by their uncle, George. Wary of the creatures who lurk in the shadows, Azrael had spent their entire life avoiding the boardwalk.
However, when their cousins, Michael, Sam and Lucy, move to Santa Carla, Azrael is forced to face the darkness they have been determined to escape. Which side will they choose? Will their cousins succumb to the shadows? And who are the strangers following the Emersons wherever they go?
