When Yuma first met Shark for the first time, he started to fell in love with him after their first duel together, Yuma's love for shark grew deeper everyday. Yuma doesn't wanna tell his sister and his grandma because he's afraid that they won't support him for being gay. On the other hand Shark's father is cruel and evil. His father would beat him and rape him excruciately. Their mom left them with their abusive and alcoholic father while shark was looking out for his sister Rio so she wouldn't get hurt. Shark would get beaten up instead to protect Rio from their father.
