Chapter 1

Q decides to teach the crew of the Enterprise a lesson about human nature. He couldn't resist flinging them back in time after hearing Picard make a sanctimonious speech for Frontier Day, going on and on about how mature and rational humans have become. How mature and rational will Starfleets finest be in 2023, with less technology and fewer resources? Q thinks it would be fun to find out.
