The Ash People have come for war with the metkayina clan, battling to end them. Tonowari and Jake are working side by side to defeat them while Jake is still mouring the death of his firstborn.

Neteyam awakes in a foreign land... a dangerous land. There, he meets Lei'wa (Lay-wah), the only daughter of the chief of The Ash People. She is a kind, innocent but powerful soul although she doesn't know what's she's being used for, or even the fact that she's being used.... They meet, will they mate?
