Description
Thane Rye is a graduating junior high school student, she's always been too focused on her grades, her extracurricular activities, and her plans for the future. But that all changes when she meets Kiel, a senior whom she becomes acquainted with during their School Intramurals. Kiel is everything Thane's ever wanted in a guy. He's handsome, tall, smart, the list goes on. He's also a bit mysterious, which makes him even more alluring. Thane can't help but be drawn to him, even though she knows he's out of her league. She was hoping that something would change between them. She finds herself daydreaming about him constantly, imagining a future where they're together and happy. Thane thinks she's being crazy, or possessed. She finds herself waiting for him to pass through their classroom or ran into him on the hallways, going to the comfort room as an excuse to catch even a glimpse of him and going mad at every single small interactions they shared. She tries to flirt with him and drop hints about her feelings, but Kiel always seems oblivious or uninterested. As the end of the school year approaches, Thane realizes that she needs to come to terms with the fact that Kiel will never feel the same way about her. And though heartbroken and defeated, she also knows that she needs to move on.
