Kiera was left on a doorstep as an infant and raised by a widowed elderly woman known as Momma G. She knows nothing if her biological parents and never thought about them much. When going through her mail one day she receives an invitiation and full ride scholarship to River Run University. the pamphlet shows a small town college in a very rural area, but it offers the program she needs for her career plans as a veterinarian. But when she arrives she starts to wonder if its too good to be true.
