Every summer, when her older children Adrian and Vanessa went away to camp, Melanie Sloane took her twins Scarlett and Hunter for two fun-filled weeks at the beach. After 3 NCAA titles, and 3 Olympic Gold medals, she decided to go into nursing like her Mom, until she eventually became Transplant Coordinator at UF Shands. As successful as she is, she lacks the one thing she craves. Love. Being born different made her shy away from love, afraid people would not accept her.
