Simon and John are coworkers. Both ex military, they relate in ways others can't.
Soap is facing hard times at home and finds a safe place with Simon.
Simon accidentally teaches him that he's worth something the way he is. That love isn't taking someone down a notch. That he deserves better.

Simon and John are based on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's Simon "Ghost" Riley and John "Soap" Mactavish but this takes place in an au where they are both ex military but did not previously know each other.
