An Unknown World

"Raku..?" I said, as I looked into his eyes, which seemed distant, as they always were. "Mhm..?' He murmured, keeping his eyes fixed on the nothing land before him. He looked as though, vaguely, he could see something out there, though that would be utterly impossible. Nothing could exist here, and nothing ever would. And yet, we were here. We were always here. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I continued for the thousandth time to understand why we were here. And why... It as just us. It was always us. I fiddled my paws , my eyes squinting in concentration. I had nearly forgotten, again. Raku,s gray tail brushed mine, and I quickly snapped out of the trance. I turned to face my older brother. Raku, gray stare seemed to impale me as I stared weakly up at him. He gave me a weak smile, and said.."you wanted to ask me something..?" I looked up at him wearily, and inhaled a shallow breath. " R-Raku.. I want to know when..when we will be alive..and when This world will change."
