Sonic and Shadow find themselves in a new universe - an emalgamation of their nightmares churned into one big city - facing new bad guys and even making new allies. Everything has changed however. Its all different. Its all wrong.

The two, with the occasional guide of their older variants, make their way through universes and uncover crucial clues to fixing the mess they found themselves in. Maybe even uncover how it all came to be.
