Can she ever forget that life and move on? ******************* Elora was born and raised in Michigan by her parents and her older brother, whom she considers "abusive" and who she is unwilling to reveal to people she has a strong friendship with. She learns her parents have been keeping her adoption a secret on her twelfth birthday. With the aid of guidance, she is able to leave the violent privilege of her prior life and travel the real world to a new city where she must rely on adults to find her real parents and lead a better life. She sees the future with the assistance of her guardian angel, and she uses it to find what she's looking for.
