"Kendra..." he took a deep breath trying to clear his head. He had come here to say goodbye, to cut ties amicably without causing her any more pain than he already had. His eyes shot to the coffee mug in his hand, he knew he would lose his composure if he looked at her. "I shouldn't have been driving." "Austin." She sighed, her voice pleading for him to listen to her. "I was over." "And he ran a red." She snapped back quickly, leaning in to the table closer to him. "I should have seen him coming, I should have been able to avoid it." "Austin it was an accident, they happen. No one blames you." He took a steadying breath. Maybe, maybe there was a chance he could accept that part. "And the rest. You really think that wasn't my fault?" ******* Eighteen months ago one drink had changed his life.
