After years of working for a secret agency, Marcus is scarred by the betrayals and wounds he's endured. He's left the agency and everything behind to start a new life, but his past keeps haunting him. Marcus is a beastly, aggressive man with anger issues, and he's afraid he'll never be able to find peace.

That is until he meets Sophie, an innocent and naive girl with a heart of gold. At first, Sophie is cold-hearted and distant, but when she meets Marcus, she finds herself drawn to him. Marcus is afraid he'll hurt her, but Sophie is determined to break through his tough exterior.

As they get closer, Sophie begins to see the pain and suffering Marcus has endured, and she wants nothing more than to heal his wounds. Marcus resists her at first, but eventually, he begins to let down his guard. With Sophie's help, Marcus starts to heal and find love again. But when his past comes back to haunt him, Marcus will have to confront his demons and fight for the love he's found with Sophie.
