Serena's parents died after they gave bird to their last child. Soon they were sent to an orphanage. They were sometimes offered to go to an adoptive family but the 3 sisters stayed together. "If they can't go with, then I won't come either" so they never got adopted. I mean find someone who's willing to adopt 3 girls. Where 2 of them have anger issues. Which is why Layla was most asked to adopt. Serena and Dalia both had problems controlling their anger, especially Dalia. Dalia met Nala in the orphanage, the poor girl's parents died in a car accident. They became best friends through the years. One night, Nala walked in on a very strange scene. When Serena turned 18, she could leave the orphanage. So she did but not without adopting her sisters and their best friend. Layla fell in the arms of Stiles Stilinski and Scott McCall, literally.
