Prologue

Caitlyn's is a freshman at college ready to start a new chapter in her life, away from the pressure of her family. The last thing on her mind now that she's in college was dating, not with the situationship she's in. Being the pessimistic person she is, she does not believe anything good could actually happen, especially if it involved her, not ever since she'd started dating her boyfriend of going to four years now, cause she believed she'd gotten on the bad side of God and that he wasn't accepting her back cause she's no longer a saint. She had done some unholy shit at least according to her religion, which she's kinda unseriously serious about. Expecting to be met with another disappointment, she was given the shock of her life in the form of her admission letter into NYU. She'd gotten in, a big shock. Finally it seemed things were going right.
Going back to school after a few years at home, she felt on edge but not any less excited about going to school, nothing could bring her down from her school-high, especially not her feeling like things are about to change, not exactly bad but not real good either. The voice in her head had been there all her life and was very much pessimistic as she was, so it was easy to dismiss it's intelligible words, and sum it up to her nerves getting in her head. For once in her pretty lame life she felt optimistic.

Before Sunset is the first book in the Sunset series, it tells the story of a young woman who finds herself in a place far more different from what she's used/ familiar with, how she struggled to fit in, the reckless life she lived, her pain and downfall. It shows our flaws in wanting to adapt and be like everyone as humans, the feeling of belonging we crave even if it's from the wrong people, the actions we take and decision we couldn't care less about that ruins us.
