Upon moving to a new apartment, Raeven Monarch-Knight is alarmed by the police presence. Her adopted family moved in on the day of a murder investigation. As Raeven begins researching what happened before they got there, she makes new friends who have decided to do the same. Together, they uncover horrific mysteries that all point to one thing. Demons. ~~~ "Rae?" Oliver's small voice almost goes unnoticed by me. I pause and tilt my head to the side, silently telling him that I'm listening. "I'm sorry if this is a really personal question, and you don't have to answer it, but, why do you wear a mask?" I chuckle, uncharacteristic of me. "I have an ugly face scar. So I hide it. Wouldn't wanna scare the kids ya know." I wink. Oliver blinks at me, green eyes bright in the sunlight. "Is it... is it a bad scar?" he whispers, almost as if he's scared to set me off. Underneath my mask, my ruined mouth stretches into a soft smile. "I'll let you see. As long as you promise not to tell anyone, alright?"
