2002. Rachel goes on an Exchange Program to The Netherlands for 48 Weeks. She leaves her life a 17-year-old in a tropical country and ventures on temperate lands completely different from any place she's ever been before. 48 weeks is a compilation of her e-mails to her family, friends, boyfriend, and teachers on her journey and coming-of-age.
