Prologue

When Nikolina escaped from Hydra, she thought she was out. Trapped there from the time she was a young girl, a pair of twins help her to escape. Now, ten years later, she's back in Sokovia, a place she hasn't been since she was fifteen. She's running a solo mission to kill the person that made her the way she is after finding out she was still alive. Nikolina expected hard, she expected exhaustion, she expected pain. What she didn't expect was coming face to face with the one woman she thought she would never see again. Now she not only has to find the scientist that distorted her whole world, but Nikolina also has to save the woman who had become her whole world from the one person Nikolina might not be able to save herself from; herself.

Set in an alternate world after the events of Multiverse of Madness, this story is an imagined version of what could come after. Mature rating is on for drinking, smoking, swearing, sexual context, and abuse. Any chapter with the mention or description of said abuse in it will have an asterisk (*) included in the chapter title (Ex. Chapter X*).
