"It was a last minute decision." I huffed. Peter blinked. "Do better." He retorted. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Jeez Peter, turning cold, you sound like my father." ~~~ After a red-eye flight Harley Keener ends up in New York, leaving him grappling for a sense of normal. While the Avengers deal with the fact that Tony Stark was hiding another apprentice, Harley copes with hiding the reason there are bruises anywhere clothes could cover, his friends acting like concerned parents and Tony, Natasha and Bruce doing their damn best to show him that he can tell them what's going on. Meanwhile, the school year grows ever closer, Harley isn't enrolled in any high schools to complete his senior year, his parents did decide they wanted him back in the place he so desperately wanted to escape and the only way to fix any of it is to tell the adults what was happening before. What's the worst that could happen? A new school, hiding what really happened in Rosehill and a few fist fights seemed manageable.
