Gajeel and you (Marina) haven't known each other for long. Actually you guys met during the battle of Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord but he's always taken a liking to you and to be honest you wouldn't say you don't like him after getting to know him a bit better. He's really sensitive under his iron surface.
