She had just turned eighteen. Radiator Springs' nominated spotlight child was determined to turn a blind eye from the racing world, with the hopes of outrunning Route 66 and the status that followed. Things take a turn, however, when her hotshot veteran father, Monty "Lightning" McQueen, is kicked from the season following an almost-fatal crash. Now, Alex feels she has no choice but to reluctantly take his place under an alias, if only to keep his legacy unmatched in the series. Alone as a rookie in a new world, she's faced with challenges she never saw coming...the biggest of them being the champion racer of the next generation: Jackson Storm, Monty's most formidable rival. As her world quickly begins to spiral out of balance, Alex is faced with her toughest choice: Will she save her father's name, or her own?
