Part 1

Avis was known for being a singer. She sang in the school chorus since the 3rd grade, all county choir since the 7th, and even church choir for a bit (though she quit because she felt it was far too limited in musicality). Her whole life revolved around music.

So, why would someone who was so passionate, so good to people and the world, who had so much good karma, be forced to stop singing? Why could her vocal cords no longer vibrate the way they used to? Why did she wake up in a hospital with a brace around her neck? Why did the doctor tell her she would never sing again? What did she do to deserve this?

Scratch that, what would she do next? Her whole life was dedicated to singing. Now that she couldn't do that, what would she do?
