Linh Cinder and Emperor Kai have just recently had a child. Then, when the child, named Peony, is kidnapped at age 3, Kai and Cinder are frantic, looking everywhere they can possibly find for her and even calling the rest of the Rampion crew to help out. Now, twelve years later, she's still nowhere to be found. Kai and Cinder have almost given up hope. Until Scarlet and Wolf find a trace of Peony-
