Prologue

When Lilis was 14 she watched her family get murdered.
Devastated by the destruction of her once perfect life, Lilis leaves her home.
Desperate to get away from a place full of memories, Lilis travels far away, with the intention of getting as far from East Ravka as possible. Her plan gets ruined when she gets captured by Druskelle and placed on a slave boat. There, she meets Nina Zenik, a grisha Heartrender. Together they escape with the help of a fjerdan called Matthias. The trio meets Kaz Brekker and his crows and they band together to swipe a Sun Summoner.
