Rachel berry is the new girl in McKinley high. she was transferred from New York to to Lima, Ohio. her brother, Noah, goes there and she already has 2 friends. Santana, Rachel's best friend, and Kurt, her best gay friend but he goes to a different school, Dalton Academy

Finn Hudson has it all, is quarterback, dating head cheerio Quinn fabray, has good grades and is good looking. his best friend, Noah 'puck' puckerman, is Santana's boyfriend and schools bad ass.
