In desperation, Y/N accepts a job as Commander Lexa's handmaiden with hopes of earning enough money to buy her father some well-needed medication. But the Commander makes it very clear how much she doesn't want nor need a handmaiden, only making Y/N's job more difficult.

As time goes on, Y/N and Lexa are both forced to work closely together and, without meaning to, begin to form an unexpected friendship. Only, that friendship soon blossoms into something more - something neither of them are willing to accept at first - making everything a lot more risky.

With Azgeda on the brink of collapsing the coalition and Lexa's past getting in the way, can her and Y/N find a way to thrive? Or will history repeat itself?
