Chapter 1- Could it be a cardinal?

Three years....the apocalypse has been going on for three long years.
The only thing that keeps us going is each other and the long lost hope of finding a cure.
Any humans we have encountered so far have proved to be untrustworthy.
What is up with this redhead? Why are we trying to help him!? Are we close to finding the cure? Read to find out! (this description was horrible, sorry but please read.)
