Chapter 1. Bottom of the Barrel

Jane does everything she can to keep her and her little sister afloat in Throckmorton County, Texas - even paying local crime kingpin and notorious creep Eddie Hoyt to stay off their backs. When Hoyt's demands grow impossible to meet, Jane finds herself seeking refuge with a dangerous crowd, the local biker gang known as the Black Spades. Under the protection of the club's founder, she strikes a deal to help them run Hoyt out of Texas for good; not anticipating how her relationship to the club - and to its leader - will change her forever.
