Prologue

After Bianca's dad finally leaves, her mother is still- possibly even more- unstable and an emotional wreck and Bianca is now in charge of taking care of her three little siblings who are all under the age of five. When the school's bad boy- and her neighbor- Eli begins paying attention to the fiery, sarcastic, unstable seventeen-year-old girl, everything changes.

"You're just a criminal," I tell him. "You just want to break the rules."

"I'll break the rules of love by stealing your heart," he says getting close enough for me to feel his minty breath on my skin.
