Description
It's the early 2010s and people are still in their deep blue pill state of the 9-to-5 corporate hustle, including Linny Le, a woman in her early twenties who's teetering on the cliff's edge of monotonous insanity. Bored, friendless, and unfulfilled, Linny's life turns upside down after an unlikely bump-in with a young man who claims to be her guardian angel. With no prior memory, "Angel" claims that he's been assigned to Linny so that he can grant her any wish she wants. The catch: she is set to die due to a mysterious terminal illness in 365 days. In an inexplicable state of both panic and grief, Linny decides to quit her toxic job and embark on a cross-country road trip with her new friend, checking off items on her long-lost childhood bucket list. At the same time, after years of being off the radar and living abroad, Linny's wild and carefree spirit of an older sister, Trang Le, decides to return to reunite with her family and finally settle down for good - after learning that she's pregnant and set on keeping it. Although the two sisters are on their own navigating their respective set of challenges with family and strangers, they promise to keep tabs with one another through their journey, hoping that when their next reunion comes, they will be changed people for the better.
