1 - the hookup

For Anita, it was supposed to be a one night stand. It wasn't supposed to lead to this lifelong commitment. It wasn't supposed to lead to the birth of little Charaya, who became the light of Anita's life. And with her fathers eyes, Charaya remind Anita everyday of the mistake she made that night. Atleast she thinks it was a mistake as she can't find the guy who helped her make her daughter. It's most definitely a mistake when one night at the bar, Anita decides to be careless and name the first person to walk through the door the godfather of Charaya. But after spending the following weeks with this stranger, Anita begins to realize that this stranger may not be a stranger at all.

For Charaya, she knows she was a mistake. Her mother may not have told her so but she knows it in the way her mother always seems to be holding back from her dreams. Charaya knows her worth but she also knows how much her mom mourns her freedom and the one thing Charaya wants more than to find her father, is to give her mother that freedom back. So when Anita brings home a stranger, it isn't Charaya's first instinct to welcome him. Ever careful of the boyfriends Anita brings home, Charaya is more than chilly with this new visitor. It's Charaya's hope of the possibility that her mother will find Charaya's father and fall back in love that keeps her from being accepting of this stranger. And yet she can't shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, she's already found him.
