New York is the most expensive city in America to live in. In such a densely populated town, not everyone can make a living with legitimate jobs. An example of that fact is Gerard Way, a prostitute living in the East Village. He doesn't like what he does, but it gets the rent paid. Most of the time. The only thing worse than Gerard's "job" is his awkward relationship with his younger brother Mikey, a drug dealer and addict. Mikey Way's history with a girl whose boyfriend is a murderer-for-hire sends his romance with Gerard on a constant roller coaster ride.
