NHL player Cruz Hemlock is the last person Noa wants to see on her way home to Fairport, Alaska. After all, he had been the one to hear her confession about how much she loved his brother four years ago. Still mortified by the incident she doesn't expect Cruz to be kind. Moreover, she cannot believe she has never noticed how hot he is before. So when he asks her if she wants to come by for a little get together with his old friends later on she is willing to say yes and nobody is more surprised by that turn of events than Noa herself.
