The Steves had finally settled into a quiet peace, adapting to the rising tides and finding better materials and food sources. The walls and the structures that they'd built were watertight now. Only a sparse few crumbling buildings remained, but they were too wet to inhabit, and the Steves had long since abandoned them. They had finally settled into a new life and accepted their new reality.
